How To Install emacs-agda-el on CentOS 7

What is emacs-agda-el
Agda is a dependently typed functional programming language has inductive families, which are similar to Haskell’s GADTs, but they can be indexed by values and not just types. It also has parameterized modules, mixfix operators, Unicode characters, and an interactive Emacs interface (the type checker can assist in the development of your code). Agda is also a proof assistant writing and checking proofs. Agda is based on intuitionistic type theory, a foundational system for constructive mathematics developed by the Swedish logician Per Martin-Löf. It has many similarities with other proof assistants based on dependent types, such as Coq, Epigram and NuPRL.
We can use yum or dnf to install emacs-agda-el on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install emacs-agda-el.
Install emacs-agda-el on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install emacs-agda-el using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install emacs-agda-el
Install emacs-agda-el on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install emacs-agda-el using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install emacs-agda-el
How To Uninstall emacs-agda-el on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the emacs-agda-el package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove emacs-agda-el
