How To Install elpa-seq on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install elpa-seq on Kali Linux.

What is elpa-seq

This library provides sequence-manipulation functions that complement basic functions provided by subr.el.

All functions are prefixed with “seq-”.

All provided functions work on lists, strings and vectors.

Functions taking a predicate or iterating over a sequence using a function as argument take the function as their first argument and the sequence as their second argument. All other functions take the sequence as their first argument.

There are three methods to install elpa-seq on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install elpa-seq Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install elpa-seq using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install elpa-seq

Install elpa-seq Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install elpa-seq using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install elpa-seq

Install elpa-seq Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install elpa-seq using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install elpa-seq

To uninstall only the elpa-seq package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove elpa-seq
