How To Install elpa-async on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install elpa-async on Kali Linux.
What is elpa-async
elpa-async is:
async.el is a module for doing asynchronous processing in Emacs. The most common application is to make dired move and rename files asynchronously i.e. in the background. Then the user need not wait for the move or copy to complete before they can use Emacs for other tasks.
There are three methods to install elpa-async on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install elpa-async Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install elpa-async using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install elpa-asyncInstall elpa-async Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install elpa-async using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install elpa-asyncInstall elpa-async Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install elpa-async using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install elpa-asyncHow To Uninstall elpa-async on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the elpa-async package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove elpa-asyncUninstall elpa-async And Its Dependencies
To uninstall elpa-async and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove elpa-asyncRemove elpa-async Configurations and Data
To remove elpa-async configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge elpa-asyncRemove elpa-async configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove elpa-async configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge elpa-asyncDependencies
