Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install elixir
on CentOS 7.
What is elixir
Elixir is a programming language built on top of the Erlang VM. As Erlang, it is a functional language built to support distributed, fault-tolerant, non-stop applications with hot code swapping.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install elixir
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install elixir.
Install elixir on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install elixir
using yum
