How To Install eggdrop on Kali Linux

What is eggdrop
eggdrop is:
Eggdrop is an IRC bot written in C, which sits on channels and takes protective measures, such as preventing it from being taken over (in the few ways that anything can), recognizing banned users to reject them, recognizing privileged users to give them operator status, punishing users for things like flooding, among innumerable others.
All of this is completely configurable, and can be disabled or enabled as you wish in the configuration file. Also, it’s very easy to expand and customize with Tcl scripts and C modules, making it possible to adapt Eggdrop to any special need you might have.
There are three methods to install eggdrop on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install eggdrop Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install eggdrop using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install eggdropInstall eggdrop Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install eggdrop using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the eggdrop package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove eggdropUninstall eggdrop And Its Dependencies
To uninstall eggdrop and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove eggdropRemove eggdrop Configurations and Data
To remove eggdrop configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge eggdropRemove eggdrop configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove eggdrop configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
