How To Install eb-doc on Debian 11

What is eb-doc
eb-doc is:
EB Library is a C library for accessing CD-ROM books.
EB Library supports to access CD-ROM books of EB, EBG, EBXA, EBXA-C, S-EBXA and EPWING formats. CD-ROM books of those formats are popular in Japan. Since CD-ROM books themseves are stands on the ISO 9660 format, you can mount the discs by the same way as other ISO 9660 discs.
This package provides document files of EB Library.
There are three methods to install eb-doc
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install eb-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install eb-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install eb-doc

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install eb-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install eb-doc
Install eb-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install eb-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install eb-doc
How To Uninstall eb-doc on Debian 11
To uninstall only the eb-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove eb-doc
Uninstall eb-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall eb-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove eb-doc
Remove eb-doc Configurations and Data
To remove eb-doc
configuration and data from Debian 11 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge eb-doc
