What is easy-rsa
This is a small RSA key management package, based on the openssl command line tool, that can be found in the easy-rsa subdirectory of the OpenVPN distribution. While this tool is primary concerned with key management for the SSL VPN application space, it can also be used for building web certificates.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install easy-rsa
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install easy-rsa.
Install easy-rsa on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install easy-rsa
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install easy-rsa
Install easy-rsa on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install easy-rsa
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install easy-rsa
How To Uninstall easy-rsa on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the easy-rsa
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove easy-rsa
