What is dynamic-edt-3d
The dynamicEDT3D library implements an incrementally updatable Euclidean distance transform (EDT) in 3D. It comes with a wrapper to use the OctoMap 3D representation and hooks into the change detection of the OctoMap library to propagate changes to the EDT.
We can use yum or dnf to install dynamic-edt-3d on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dynamic-edt-3d.
Install dynamic-edt-3d on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install dynamic-edt-3d using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install dynamic-edt-3d
Install dynamic-edt-3d on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install dynamic-edt-3d using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install dynamic-edt-3d
How To Uninstall dynamic-edt-3d on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the dynamic-edt-3d package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove dynamic-edt-3d
