How To Install droidlysis on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install droidlysis on Debian 12.
What is droidlysis
droidlysis is:
DroidLysis is a property extractor for Android apps. It automatically disassembles the Android application you provide and looks for various properties within the package or its disassembly. DroidLysis can be used over Android packages (apk), Dalvik executables (dex), Zip files (zip), Rar files (rar) or directories of files.
DroidLysis outputs:
- A summary on the console
- The unzipped, pre-processed sample in a subdirectory of your output dir. The subdirectory is named using the sample’s filename and sha256 sum.
- A database (by default, SQLite droidlysis.db) containing properties it noticed.
DroidLysis can optionally use dex2jar to provide more information. It is free software but not currently in Debian, and must be separately downloaded into ~/.local/share/droidlysis.
There are three methods to install droidlysis on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install droidlysis Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install droidlysis using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install droidlysis
How To Uninstall droidlysis on Debian 12
To uninstall only the droidlysis package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove droidlysis
Uninstall droidlysis And Its Dependencies
To uninstall droidlysis and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove droidlysis
Remove droidlysis Configurations and Data
To remove droidlysis configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge droidlysis
Remove droidlysis configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove droidlysis configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge droidlysis
