How To Install drc on Debian 12
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install drc
on Debian 12.
What is drc
drc is:
DRC is program used to generate correction filters for acoustic compensation of HiFi and audio systems in general, including listening room compensation. Program generates just the FIR correction filters, which can be used with a real time or offline convolver to provide real time or offline correction.
DRC doesn’t provide convolution features, and provides only some simplified, although really accurate, measuring tools.
There are three methods to install drc
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install drc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install drc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install drc

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

How To Uninstall drc on Debian 12
To uninstall only the drc
package we can use the following command:

Remove drc Configurations and Data
