How To Install dovecot-antispam on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install dovecot-antispam on Kali Linux.
What is dovecot-antispam
dovecot-antispam is:
dovecot-antispam watches designated spam folders and trains mail as spam or not-spam when it moves in or out of those folders respectively.
dovecot-antispam supports dspam, crm114, and generic training by mailing spam and non-spam to training addresses. For crm114, it supports folders for the additional “unsure” classification, and trains when moving from there to spam or normal folders.
There are three methods to install dovecot-antispam on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dovecot-antispam Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dovecot-antispam using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dovecot-antispamInstall dovecot-antispam Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dovecot-antispam using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dovecot-antispamInstall dovecot-antispam Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the dovecot-antispam package we can use the following command:

To remove dovecot-antispam configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dovecot-antispamRemove dovecot-antispam configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
