How To Install docker-clean on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install docker-clean on Kali Linux.
What is docker-clean
docker-clean is:
docker-clean is simple Shell script utility to clean up the Docker Daemon, required Docker Daemon version (>= 1.9).
Usages:
- docker-clean stop: Stops and removes all containers, cleans dangling volumes,and networks
- docker-clean images: Removes all tagged and untagged images, stopped containers, dangling volumes, and networks
- docker-clean run : Removes all stopped containers, untagged images, dangling volumes, and networks
- docker-clean all: Stops and removes all containers, images, volumes and networks
There are three methods to install docker-clean on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install docker-clean Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install docker-clean using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install docker-cleanInstall docker-clean Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install docker-clean using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install docker-cleanInstall docker-clean Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install docker-clean using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install docker-cleanHow To Uninstall docker-clean on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the docker-clean package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove docker-cleanUninstall docker-clean And Its Dependencies
To uninstall docker-clean and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove docker-cleanRemove docker-clean Configurations and Data
To remove docker-clean configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge docker-cleanRemove docker-clean configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove docker-clean configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge docker-cleanDependencies
