How To Install dms-wsgi on Ubuntu 20.04

on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is dms-wsgi
dms-wsgi is:
This is the bind9 DNS Management system, WSGI JSON RPC layer.
This installs the WSGI layer needed to access the DMS backend via JSON RPC over http. It is split from the core package to allow the DMS to be set up on a small scale, with command line only editing.

There are three methods to install dms-wsgi
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dms-wsgi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dms-wsgi
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dms-wsgi
Install dms-wsgi Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install dms-wsgi
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dms-wsgi
Install dms-wsgi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install dms-wsgi
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install dms-wsgi
How To Uninstall dms-wsgi on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the dms-wsgi
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dms-wsgi
Uninstall dms-wsgi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall dms-wsgi
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dms-wsgi
Remove dms-wsgi Configurations and Data
To remove dms-wsgi
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dms-wsgi
Remove dms-wsgi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove dms-wsgi
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge dms-wsgi
