How To Install distcc on Debian 10

What is distcc
distcc is:
distcc is a program to distribute compilation of C or C++ code across several machines on a network. distcc should always generate the same results as a local compile, is simple to install and use, and is often significantly faster than a local compile. distcc does not require all machines to share a filesystem, have synchronized clocks, or to have the same libraries or header files installed.
There are three methods to install distcc
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install distcc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install distcc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install distcc
Install distcc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install distcc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install distcc
Install distcc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install distcc
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install distcc
How To Uninstall distcc on Debian 10
To uninstall only the distcc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove distcc
Uninstall distcc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall distcc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove distcc
Remove distcc Configurations and Data
To remove distcc
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge distcc
