How To Install dictzip on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install dictzip on Kali Linux.

What is dictzip

dictzip is:

This package provides a utility to compress dictionary databases with the LZ77 algorithm in a manner which is completely compatible with gzip(1), but using an extension that allows for random access to chunks of about 57kB without the overhead of decompressing the entire file.

This package also includes dictunzip, to decompress dictzipped files, and dictzcat, for viewing dictzipped files.

There are three methods to install dictzip on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install dictzip Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install dictzip using apt-get by running the following command:
