What is dictem

dictem is:

DictEm implements all functions of the client part of Dictionary Server Protocol(DICT) protocol (RFC-2229, www.dict.org), i.e looking up words and definitions, obtaining information about available strategies, provided databases, information about DICT server etc.

It uses autocompletion that is used for selecting dictionary and search strategy. Moreover, DictEm provides several hooks which may be used for buffer postprocessing.

There are three methods to install dictem on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install dictem Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install dictem using apt-get by running the following command:
