How To Install dict-jargon on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install dict-jargon on Kali Linux.
What is dict-jargon
dict-jargon is:
The Jargon File is a comprehensive compendium of hacker slang illuminating many aspects of hackish tradition, folklore, and humor.
This package includes “The Jargon Lexicon” (main section of The Jargon File, version 4.4.7, 29 Dec 2003), formatted for use by the dictionary server in the dictd package.
The complete Jargon File is available in the jargon-text package.
There are three methods to install dict-jargon on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dict-jargon Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dict-jargon using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dict-jargonInstall dict-jargon Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dict-jargon using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dict-jargonInstall dict-jargon Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dict-jargon using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install dict-jargonHow To Uninstall dict-jargon on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the dict-jargon package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dict-jargonUninstall dict-jargon And Its Dependencies
To uninstall dict-jargon and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dict-jargonRemove dict-jargon Configurations and Data
To remove dict-jargon configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dict-jargonRemove dict-jargon configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove dict-jargon configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge dict-jargonDependencies
