The dev86 package provides an assembler and linker for real mode 80x86 instructions. You should install dev86 if you intend to build programs that run in real mode from their source code.

Install dev86 on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install dev86 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install dev86

Install dev86 on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
