What is desktopnova

desktopnova is:

DesktopNova changes the desktop background image after an adjustable time. It can choose the images from single files and folders (with or without subfolders). An autostart feature is also implemented.

This package contains the graphical user interface and background daemon.

There is at least one module needed. Without a module this package will not work as expected! See packages desktopnova-module-*.

There is also an additional tray icon available. See package desktopnova-tray.

There are three methods to install desktopnova on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install desktopnova Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install desktopnova using apt-get by running the following command:
