Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.

using dnf
by running the following command:

Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall dejavu-lgc-sans-fonts on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the dejavu-lgc-sans-fonts
package we can use the following command:
