Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install dehydrated
on CentOS 7.
What is dehydrated
This is a client for signing certificates with an ACME-server (currently only provided by Let’s Encrypt) implemented as a relatively simple bash- script. Dehydrated supports both ACME v1 and the new ACME v2 including support for wildcard certificates! Current features * Signing of a list of domains * Signing of a CSR * Renewal if a certificate is about to expire or SAN (subdomains) changed * Certificate revocation
We can use yum
or dnf
to install dehydrated
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dehydrated.
Install dehydrated on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install dehydrated
using yum
by running the following command:

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
