How To Install debsecan on Kali Linux

debsecan is a tool to generate a list of vulnerabilities which affect a particular Debian installation. debsecan runs on the host which is to be checked, and downloads vulnerability information over the Internet. It can send mail to interested parties when new vulnerabilities are discovered or when security updates become available.

There are three methods to install debsecan on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install debsecan Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install debsecan using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install debsecan

Install debsecan Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install debsecan using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install debsecan

Install debsecan Using aptitude
