How To Install debpear on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install debpear on Kali Linux.
What is debpear
debpear is:
With debpear, you can install PEAR packages out of only the name of a PHP PEAR module. Debpear will download, create, and build a Debian package out of the pear package that you selected, and eventually install it in your system.
The goal of debpear isn’t to replace the real work of a Debian maintainer, but rather to allow its users to quickly build and install a PEAR package in a clean, Debian way, when this PEAR package doesn’t exist in Debian yet.
There are three methods to install debpear on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install debpear Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install debpear using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install debpearInstall debpear Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install debpear using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install debpearInstall debpear Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install debpear using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install debpearHow To Uninstall debpear on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the debpear package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove debpearUninstall debpear And Its Dependencies
To uninstall debpear and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove debpearRemove debpear Configurations and Data
To remove debpear configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge debpearRemove debpear configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove debpear configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge debpearDependencies
