How To Install ddtc on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install ddtc
on Debian 10.
What is ddtc
ddtc is:
ddtc stands for Debian Description Translation Client. It’s a Perl script to help both translators and reviewers to deal with ddts mails. It parses mails from the ddts, splits them into individual package files, sends translations, reviews and patches buggy translations.
Supports only package description (pdesc) for the moment.
There are three methods to install ddtc
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ddtc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ddtc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ddtc

Update apt database with apt

After updating apt database, We can install ddtc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ddtc
Install ddtc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install ddtc

How To Uninstall ddtc on Debian 10
To uninstall only the ddtc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ddtc

To uninstall ddtc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ddtc
Remove ddtc Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
