How To Install ddclient on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ddclient
on CentOS 7.
What is ddclient
ddclient is a Perl client used to update dynamic DNS entries for accounts on many different dynamic DNS services. Features include Operating as a daemon, manual and automatic updates, static and dynamic updates, optimized updates for multiple addresses, MX, wildcards, abuse avoidance, retrying the failed updates and sending update status to syslog and through e-mail.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install ddclient
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ddclient.
Install ddclient on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install ddclient
using yum
by running the following command:
