How To Install d-shlibs on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install d-shlibs
on Debian 9.
What is d-shlibs
d-shlibs is:
Shared library packages in Debian need some special catering to do with regards to which files go where. This package contains programs which try to help automate the process and catch simple errors
“d-shlibmove” moves the shared library binary around from temporary installation directory to the destination package directory.
“d-devlibdeps” tries to list the development library dependencies required for using the -dev package.
There are three methods to install d-shlibs
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install d-shlibs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install d-shlibs

How To Uninstall d-shlibs on Debian 9
To uninstall only the d-shlibs
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove d-shlibs
Uninstall d-shlibs And Its Dependencies
To uninstall d-shlibs
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove d-shlibs
