How To Install cutadapt on Debian 10

What is cutadapt
cutadapt is:
Cutadapt helps with biological sequence clean tasks by finding the adapter or primer sequences in an error-tolerant way. It can also modify and filter reads in various ways. Adapter sequences can contain IUPAC wildcard characters. Also, paired-end reads and even colorspace data is supported. If you want, you can also just demultiplex your input data, without removing adapter sequences at all.
This package contains the user interface.
There are three methods to install cutadapt on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cutadapt Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cutadapt using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cutadapt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install cutadapt using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cutadapt
Install cutadapt Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install cutadapt using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the cutadapt package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cutadapt

To uninstall cutadapt and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cutadapt
Remove cutadapt Configurations and Data
To remove cutadapt configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cutadapt
