How To Install cube on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cube on CentOS 8.
What is cube
CUBE (CUBE Uniform Behavioral Encoding) is a generic presentation component suitable for displaying a wide variety of performance metrics for parallel programs including MPI and OpenMP applications. CUBE allows interactive exploration of a multidimensional performance space in a scalable fashion. Scalability is achieved in two ways dimensions and aggregation across different dimensions. All performance metrics are uniformly accommodated in the same display and thus provide the ability to easily compare the effects of different kinds of performance behavior.
We can use yum or dnf to install cube on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cube.
Install cube on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install cube using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cube
Install cube on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install cube using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cube
How To Uninstall cube on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the cube package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cube
