How To Install ctioga2 on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ctioga2
on Kali Linux.
What is ctioga2
ctioga2 is a plotting program in the spirit of gnuplot. It can be used either directly on command-line or writing command files (or a mix of both). It produces publication-quality PDF files. It is based on the Tioga plotting library.
ctioga2 is a full rewrite of ctioga and is meant to replace it completely in a not-so-distant future.
There are three ways to install ctioga2
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ctioga2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ctioga2
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ctioga2
Install ctioga2 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ctioga2
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ctioga2
Install ctioga2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ctioga2
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ctioga2
How To Uninstall ctioga2 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ctioga2
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ctioga2
Uninstall ctioga2 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ctioga2
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ctioga2
Remove ctioga2 Configurations and Data
To remove ctioga2
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ctioga2
Remove ctioga2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ctioga2
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ctioga2
