How To Install cqrlog on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install cqrlog on Kali Linux.
What is cqrlog
cqrlog is:
CQRLOG is an advanced ham radio logger based on MySQL embedded database. Provides radio control based on hamlib libraries (currently support of 140+ radio types and models), DX cluster connection, HamQTH/QRZ callbook (XML access), a grayliner, internal QSL manager database support and a most accurate country resolution algorithm based on country tables developed by OK1RR. CQRLOG is intended for daily general logging of HF, CW & SSB contacts and strongly focused on easy operation and maintenance.
There are three methods to install cqrlog on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cqrlog Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cqrlog using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cqrlogInstall cqrlog Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cqrlog using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cqrlogInstall cqrlog Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cqrlog using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cqrlogHow To Uninstall cqrlog on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cqrlog package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cqrlogUninstall cqrlog And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cqrlog and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cqrlogRemove cqrlog Configurations and Data
To remove cqrlog configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cqrlogRemove cqrlog configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cqrlog configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cqrlogDependencies
