How To Install cqrlog on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cqrlog on CentOS 8.
What is cqrlog
CQRLOG is an advanced ham radio logger based on MySQL database. Provides radio control based on hamlib libraries (currently support of 140+ radio types and models), DX cluster connection, QRZ callbook (web version), a grayliner, internal QSL manager database support and a most accurate country resolution algorithm based on country tables developed by OK1RR. CQRLOG is intended for daily general logging of HF, CW & SSB contacts and strongly focused on easy operation and maintenance.
We can use yum or dnf to install cqrlog on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cqrlog.
Install cqrlog on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install cqrlog using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cqrlog
Install cqrlog on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install cqrlog using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cqrlog
How To Uninstall cqrlog on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the cqrlog package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cqrlog
