How To Install cppad on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cppad on Kali Linux.
What is cppad
cppad is:
CppAD is a package for automatic differentiation (AD) of algorithms written in C++. Given appropriately written C++ code that computes a function, CppAD augments it to also compute derivative values. The system uses templates, supports forward and reverse accumulation modes, and allows nested derivatives.
This transition package helps with the move to libcppad-dev.
There are three methods to install cppad on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cppad Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cppad using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cppadInstall cppad Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cppad using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cppadInstall cppad Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cppad using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cppadHow To Uninstall cppad on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cppad package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cppadUninstall cppad And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cppad and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cppadRemove cppad Configurations and Data
To remove cppad configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cppadRemove cppad configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cppad configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cppadDependencies
