How To Install courier-pcp on Kali Linux

What is courier-pcp
The Courier mail transfer agent (MTA) is an integrated mail/groupware server based on open commodity protocols, such as ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, LDAP, TLS, and HTTP. Courier provides ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, webmail, and mailing list services within a single, consistent, framework.
This package contains the PCP (Personal Calendaring Protocol) server needed for the groupware calendaring mode of SqWebMail.
There are three ways to install courier-pcp
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install courier-pcp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install courier-pcp
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install courier-pcp
Install courier-pcp Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install courier-pcp
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install courier-pcp
Install courier-pcp Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install courier-pcp
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install courier-pcp
How To Uninstall courier-pcp on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the courier-pcp
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove courier-pcp
Uninstall courier-pcp And Its Dependencies
To uninstall courier-pcp
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove courier-pcp
Remove courier-pcp Configurations and Data
To remove courier-pcp
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge courier-pcp
