How To Install courier-faxmail on Kali Linux

What is courier-faxmail
The Courier mail transfer agent (MTA) is an integrated mail/groupware server based on open commodity protocols, such as ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, LDAP, TLS, and HTTP. Courier provides ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, webmail, and mailing list services within a single, consistent, framework.
The courierfax module implements a faxmail gateway, which faxes a printed copy of an email message to the phone number specified in the email address (e.g. [email protected]).
There are three ways to install courier-faxmail
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install courier-faxmail Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install courier-faxmail
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install courier-faxmail
Install courier-faxmail Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install courier-faxmail
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install courier-faxmail
Install courier-faxmail Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install courier-faxmail
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install courier-faxmail
How To Uninstall courier-faxmail on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the courier-faxmail
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove courier-faxmail
Uninstall courier-faxmail And Its Dependencies
To uninstall courier-faxmail
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove courier-faxmail
Remove courier-faxmail Configurations and Data
To remove courier-faxmail
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge courier-faxmail
Remove courier-faxmail configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove courier-faxmail
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge courier-faxmail
