How To Install cortado on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install cortado on Kali Linux.
What is cortado
cortado is:
By embedding the cortado applet in your website, you can give viewers access to streams from either the Flumotion streaming server or any HTTP server providing multimedia files without the need for a locally installed media player supporting the correct formats on the visitor’s computer. Cortado currently include Java decoders for Ogg Theora, Ogg Vorbis (the JOrbis library), Mulaw audio, MJPEG and Flumotion’s Smoke codec.
The package will automatically be configured for apache2 but can be used with any other HTTP server. Some HTML files are included as examples of how to use the applet.
There are three methods to install cortado on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cortado Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cortado using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cortadoInstall cortado Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cortado using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cortadoInstall cortado Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cortado using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cortadoHow To Uninstall cortado on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cortado package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cortadoUninstall cortado And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cortado and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cortadoRemove cortado Configurations and Data
To remove cortado configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cortadoRemove cortado configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cortado configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cortadoDependencies
