How To Install corosync-qnetd on Ubuntu 22.04

What is corosync-qnetd
corosync-qnetd is:
Corosync-qnetd is a daemon running outside of the cluster with the purpose of providing a vote to the corosync-qdevice model net. It’s designed to support multiple clusters and be almost configuration and state free. New clusters are handled dynamically and no configuration file exists. It’s also able to run as non-root user - which is recommended. Connection between the corosync-qdevice model net client can be optionally configured with TLS client certificate checking. The communication protocol between server and client is designed to be very simple and allow backwards compatibility.
There are three methods to install corosync-qnetd
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install corosync-qnetd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qnetd
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install corosync-qnetd
Install corosync-qnetd Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qnetd
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install corosync-qnetd
Install corosync-qnetd Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qnetd
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install corosync-qnetd
How To Uninstall corosync-qnetd on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the corosync-qnetd
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove corosync-qnetd
Uninstall corosync-qnetd And Its Dependencies
To uninstall corosync-qnetd
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove corosync-qnetd
Remove corosync-qnetd Configurations and Data
To remove corosync-qnetd
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge corosync-qnetd
Remove corosync-qnetd configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove corosync-qnetd
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge corosync-qnetd
