How To Install corosync-qdevice on Kali Linux

What is corosync-qdevice
corosync-qdevice is:
corosync-qdevice is a daemon running on each node of a cluster. It provides a configured number of votes to the quorum subsystem based on a third-party arbitrator’s decision. Its primary use is to allow a cluster to sustain more node failures than standard quorum rules allow. It is recommended for clusters with an even number of nodes and highly recommended for 2 node clusters.
There are three methods to install corosync-qdevice
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install corosync-qdevice Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qdevice
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install corosync-qdevice
Install corosync-qdevice Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qdevice
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install corosync-qdevice
Install corosync-qdevice Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qdevice

How To Uninstall corosync-qdevice on Kali Linux
