How To Install compiz-core on Debian 9

What is compiz-core
compiz-core is:

A “window manager” allows the manipulation of the multiple applications and dialog windows that are presented on the screen. A “composite manager” allows windows and other graphics to be combined together to create composite images. Compiz achieves its stunning effects by doing both of these functions.
There are three methods to install compiz-core
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install compiz-core Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install compiz-core
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install compiz-core

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install compiz-core

by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install compiz-core
Install compiz-core Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install compiz-core
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install compiz-core
How To Uninstall compiz-core on Debian 9
To uninstall only the compiz-core
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove compiz-core
Uninstall compiz-core And Its Dependencies
To uninstall compiz-core
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove compiz-core
Remove compiz-core Configurations and Data
To remove compiz-core
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge compiz-core
Remove compiz-core configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
