In this tutorial we learn how to install codequery on Ubuntu 22.04.

What is codequery

codequery is:

This is a tool to index, then query or search C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Go and Javascript source code.

It builds upon the databases of cscope and Exuberant ctags.

The databases of cscope and ctags would be processed by the cqmakedb tool to generate the CodeQuery database file.

The CodeQuery database file can be viewed and queried using the codequery GUI tool.

There are three methods to install codequery on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install codequery Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install codequery using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install codequery

Install codequery Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install codequery using apt by running the following command:
