How To Install cmtk on Ubuntu 20.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cmtk on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is cmtk
cmtk is:
A software toolkit for computational morphometry of biomedical images, CMTK comprises a set of command line tools and a back-end general-purpose library for processing and I/O.
The command line tools primarily provide the following functionality: registration (affine and nonrigid; single and multi-channel; pairwise and groupwise), image correction (MR bias field estimation; interleaved image artifact correction), processing (filters; combination of segmentations via voting and STAPLE; shape-based averaging), statistics (t-tests; general linear regression).
There are three methods to install cmtk on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cmtk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cmtk using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cmtk
Install cmtk Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install cmtk using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cmtk
Install cmtk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install cmtk using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cmtk
How To Uninstall cmtk on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the cmtk package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cmtk
Uninstall cmtk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cmtk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cmtk
Remove cmtk Configurations and Data
To remove cmtk configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cmtk
Remove cmtk configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cmtk configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cmtk
