What is clucene09-core-devel

The clucene-core-devel package includes header files and libraries necessary for developing programs which use clucene-core library. This package contains an old and deprecated version of clucene-core. You need it only if the software you are using has not been updated to work with the newer version and the newer API.

We can use yum or dnf to install clucene09-core-devel on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install clucene09-core-devel.

Install clucene09-core-devel on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install clucene09-core-devel using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install clucene09-core-devel

Install clucene09-core-devel on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install clucene09-core-devel using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install clucene09-core-devel

How To Uninstall clucene09-core-devel on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the clucene09-core-devel package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove clucene09-core-devel
