How To Install cltl on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cltl on Kali Linux.
What is cltl
cltl is:
This package installs the HTML version of Guy L. Steele book Common Lisp the Language, second edition. This book describes a snapshot of the Common Lisp language during the period that the ANSI Common Lisp standard was created. Thus, this book describe a NON-STANDARD version of Common Lisp which is similar to, but is NOT, ANSI Common Lisp.
For reference on ANSI Common Lisp, use the Debian package “hyperspec”. This book is included in Debian because, while it does differ from the ANSI standard, it has more details than the “hyperspec” about the design and usage of Lisp.
This package does not contain the actual HTML files, but rather downloads the HTML archive from the Internet and then installs it.
There are three methods to install cltl on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cltl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cltl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cltlInstall cltl Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cltl using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude -y install cltlHow To Uninstall cltl on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cltl package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cltlUninstall cltl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cltl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cltlRemove cltl Configurations and Data
To remove cltl configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cltlRemove cltl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cltl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
