How To Install cloudkitty-api on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cloudkitty-api on Kali Linux.
What is cloudkitty-api
cloudkitty-api is:
CloudKitty aims at filling the gap between metrics collection systems like ceilometer and a billing system.
Every metrics are collected, aggregated and processed through different rating modules. You can then query CloudKitty’s storage to retrieve processed data and easily generate reports.
Most parts of CloudKitty are modular so you can easily extend the base code to address your particular use case.
This package contains the Cloudkitty API server.
There are three methods to install cloudkitty-api on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cloudkitty-api Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cloudkitty-api using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cloudkitty-apiInstall cloudkitty-api Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cloudkitty-api using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cloudkitty-apiInstall cloudkitty-api Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cloudkitty-api using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cloudkitty-apiHow To Uninstall cloudkitty-api on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cloudkitty-api package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cloudkitty-apiUninstall cloudkitty-api And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cloudkitty-api and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cloudkitty-apiRemove cloudkitty-api Configurations and Data
To remove cloudkitty-api configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cloudkitty-apiRemove cloudkitty-api configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cloudkitty-api configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cloudkitty-apiDependencies
