How To Install clevis-tpm2 on Ubuntu 22.04

Clevis is a plugable framework for automated decryption. It can be used to provide automated decryption of data or even automated unlocking of LUKS volumes.
This package provides the TPM2 pin.
There are three methods to install clevis-tpm2
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install clevis-tpm2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install clevis-tpm2
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install clevis-tpm2
Install clevis-tpm2 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install clevis-tpm2
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install clevis-tpm2
Install clevis-tpm2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install clevis-tpm2
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install clevis-tpm2
How To Uninstall clevis-tpm2 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the clevis-tpm2
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove clevis-tpm2
Uninstall clevis-tpm2 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall clevis-tpm2
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove clevis-tpm2
Remove clevis-tpm2 Configurations and Data
To remove clevis-tpm2
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge clevis-tpm2
Remove clevis-tpm2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
