What is clang-analyzer
The Clang Static Analyzer consists of both a source code analysis framework and a standalone tool that finds bugs in C and Objective-C programs. The standalone tool is invoked from the command-line, and is intended to run in tandem with a build of a project or code base.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install clang-analyzer
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install clang-analyzer.
Install clang-analyzer on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clang-analyzer
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install clang-analyzer
Install clang-analyzer on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install clang-analyzer
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install clang-analyzer
How To Uninstall clang-analyzer on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the clang-analyzer
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove clang-analyzer
