How To Install clang-11 on Debian 11

What is clang-11

clang-11 is:

Clang project is a C, C++, Objective C and Objective C++ front-end based on the LLVM compiler. Its goal is to offer a replacement to the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC).

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install clang-11 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install clang-11

To uninstall only the clang-11 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove clang-11

To uninstall clang-11 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove clang-11

To remove clang-11 configuration and data from Debian 11 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge clang-11
