How To Install cl-sql-tests on Kali Linux

What is cl-sql-tests
This package contains a test suite for CLSQL. It requires manual configuration of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases to execute. A configured, licensed version of AllegroCL with ODBC setup is required to test the clsql-aodbc interface. See the /usr/share/doc/cl-sql-tests/README file if you want to try running these regression tests.
There are three ways to install cl-sql-tests on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cl-sql-tests Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cl-sql-tests using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cl-sql-tests
Install cl-sql-tests Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install cl-sql-tests using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cl-sql-tests
Install cl-sql-tests Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install cl-sql-tests using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cl-sql-tests
How To Uninstall cl-sql-tests on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cl-sql-tests package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cl-sql-tests
Uninstall cl-sql-tests And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cl-sql-tests and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cl-sql-tests
Remove cl-sql-tests Configurations and Data
To remove cl-sql-tests configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cl-sql-tests
Remove cl-sql-tests configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cl-sql-tests configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cl-sql-tests
