How To Install cinnamon-common on Kali Linux

What is cinnamon-common
cinnamon-common is:
Cinnamon is a desktop environment which provides advanced innovative features and a traditional user experience.
The desktop layout is similar to GNOME 2. The underlying technology is forked from gnome-shell. The emphasis is put on making users feel at home and providing them with an easy to use and comfortable desktop experience.
This package contains the data files needed by Cinnamon
There are three methods to install cinnamon-common on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cinnamon-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cinnamon-common using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cinnamon-commonInstall cinnamon-common Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cinnamon-common using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cinnamon-commonInstall cinnamon-common Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cinnamon-common using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the cinnamon-common package we can use the following command:

To uninstall cinnamon-common and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cinnamon-commonRemove cinnamon-common Configurations and Data
To remove cinnamon-common configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cinnamon-commonRemove cinnamon-common configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
