What is cim-schema
Common Information Model (CIM) is a model for describing overall management information in a network or enterprise environment. CIM consists of a specification and a schema. The specification defines the details for integration with other management models. The schema provides the actual model descriptions.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install cim-schema
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cim-schema.
Install cim-schema on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cim-schema
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cim-schema
Install cim-schema on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install cim-schema
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cim-schema
How To Uninstall cim-schema on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the cim-schema
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cim-schema
