How To Install choosewm on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install choosewm on Kali Linux.
What is choosewm
When installed, this package installs a x-session-manager alternative allowing the user to choose the window manager. The list is taken by default from everything installing a window manager option in the Debian menu system, but the administrator or user can add or remove items via config files.
There are three ways to install choosewm on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install choosewm Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install choosewm using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install choosewm
Install choosewm Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install choosewm using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install choosewm
Install choosewm Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update

How To Uninstall choosewm on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the choosewm package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove choosewm

sudo apt-get -y autoremove choosewm
Remove choosewm Configurations and Data
To remove choosewm configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge choosewm

We can use the following command to remove choosewm configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
